All About Bryn

Brynlee has decided she is over her playmat. She used to lay there content but now she lasts about 5 minutes. She wants to be "up" and see what is going on...thank goodness for the Bumbo seat!
She's discovered Bailey...
She's learned how to put her paci back in...which is AWESOME for me!
Sunday she made it through both Bible Fellowship and the worship service in the nursery and did great!
She has 2 speeds...happy and smiley...and then what we call terradactyl screaming. There is really no warning. Out of nowhere she will just be DONE! And her scream is squeaky and very dramatic...

She has stopped rolling. She can do it, but just won't. Not sure what that is about...
She has dropped her "catnap" before bedtime. So now after her 4:00ish feeding, she is up til 7 pm...which can make for a long evening. But she won't go back to sleep, trust me, we've tried!

She has discovered tags...on everything. And loves to play with them.
Everything goes straight to the mouth...
We are still rocking this awesome bald spot...but hair is starting to grow in...very slowly!

Brynlee has always been a STIFF baby...she just doesn't bend easily. Our pediatrician even noticed it when he has trying to put her in a sitting position at 2 months old. Well, now this is how she "lays" down...
With her feet and head off the ground...
That can't be comfortable.
We love this little girl so much!!!

Joy Joy Joy Down in my Heart

Kate loves to sing. As a matter of fact, she sang all 2 1/2 hours of her "naptime" today. Here is a little clip of her singing "I've got the Joy Joy Joy down in my heart."

St. Patty's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Bryn and Kate...

We made a little St. Patty's day treat...
I saw this Rainbow cupcake recipe last year and thought it looked fun. Kate enjoyed helping me make the colored batter...

I let her make one all by herself...

Rainbow cupcakes...they need a little tweaking. But they tasted good.

Kate enjoying her snack...

And we ended the day with a green bath!

Hope you had a Happy St. Patty's Day!

Sticker Sunday

Look who got a sticker today...

Yep, this sweet girl went to her first Sunday morning nursery!

We have been taking her to class with us because it was RSV season and she has been sick on and off with little colds...thanks to big sister!

When we dropped her off it was naptime and she was really fussy...I was a little nervous we would get paged to come get her, but when we picked her up they said she did great! The lady said she laughed and cooed most of the time!

And then she came home and took a great nap! She is doing really well in her sleep sack!

Oh how I love a sleeping baby!

After her nap, we took a family walk. It was Bryn's first time in the stroller without the carseat. What a big girl!

Firsts...

We had a couple of firsts today.

First, and MOST importantly, Brynlee slept all night (from 7 PM to 6:45 AM) in her sleep sack! Praise the Lord! When I checked on her at 6:30 she was just laying in the crib awake and happy!

We also started cereal today. This is a month later than we started with Kate.
Looking so big sitting in the high chair...
First bite...
Tolerating...
She did pretty well but wasn't overly interested. We will see how it goes tomorrow...

Kate wanted to help...
I think Kate is showing Bryn how to open her mouth wide!
While Parker was getting the highchair out of the attic, he also got down the exersaucer...

She immediately started playing with all the toys...

Jump! Jump!

We had another rough night last night. Bryn rolled over at 1 AM and again at 4 AM with her arms still in the swaddle...which scared me because she was face down on the mattress. So...no more swaddle. So we stayed home again to figure this no swaddle/transition to the sleep sack out. I will say, we are making a little progress, but it is SLOW. She did take one really good nap today (out of 3) and fell asleep okay tonight.
Still smiling even though it was a rough morning...

Kate and I spent the afternoon outside. This girl LOVES to jump. We jump all over the house. Yes, WE. So I decided it was time to pull out her Christmas present from CC and Papa Lon. She was sooooo excited...

Can you tell???

She jumped and jumped all afternoon!

And slid a few times!
She took a little break to play with Bailey...
Watching them interact is funny to me. Kate is really bossy and Bailey is so patient with her.
And then she jumped some more. She may or may not have had a meltdown when it was time to come inside...
I am sure we will jump more tomorrow!
