1st week

 

We survived the first week.  Actually it went great and it feels good to be back in a routine.  These aren't great pictures but the girls love wearing their backpacks and carrying their lunch boxes to their class.  It makes them seem so big to me. 

 

We ordered Kate a "big girl" backpack, but it is back ordered for a few more weeks.  She is patiently waiting for it to come in. 

 

In other school news, Brynlee slept on her napmat on Thursday!  And Kate got to go to computers.  It was the first thing she told me when I picked her up.  She ran out of her class and said, "I went to COMPUTER!"  I asked what they did and she said, "we sat on the tape."  Apparently it was just an instruction day.  But she can't wait to go back. 

1st Day of School

Today was the 1st day of CLC!  Kate was so excited to go back to school.  We tried to take a few pictures before school...

Brynlee wanted to be held so we took a group pic...

They both had a GREAT day!  Kate was all smiles when I picked her up.  Notice her card says, I liked "playing with Brynlee." When I asked her what her favorite thing was she said, playing with Brynlee.  She also told me she was the ROMP SuperStar, they sang the shark song, and she saw Ms. Kim (the chapel teacher.) 

Brynlee also had a good day.  I didn't get many details from her...but she was all smiles at pick-up.  She didn't take a nap, but hopefully she will figure out that napmat soon.

Meet the Teacher

Monday morning we had "Meet The Teacher" for the 2012-2013 school year.  Kate was so excited to see who was in her class.  We took a few pictures before we left.  They both wanted to pose with their dolls...

 

Kate's doll unfortunately was having a wardrobe malfunction...

 

Almost impossible to get them to cooperate at the same time...

And it's crazy how fast we go from that to this...

Night Night...

Meet the Teacher went great.  We went to Bryn's class first.  Brynlee walked in and immediately started playing.  She has several friends in her class from last year.  Then we went to Kate's class.  Kate's best little friend from last year, Brynlee, is in her class again.  This was such a fun surprise.  It was cute to watch them run up and hug.  We are ready for another great year!

Beach Randomness

These are random pictures from my phone from our trip.

We drove to my parents house on Friday before we headed to the beach on Saturday.  Kate and Emma slept in the same room for the first time.  Around 2:30 Kate woke up, then Emma woke up and they thought it was time to party.  My sweet mom (unknowing to me) stayed in there with them from 2:30 AM til 5:30AM.  Yep, they basically partied all night.  This was how I found them Sat morning...both sleeping on the trundle bed.

Tuesday night my parents kept the girls so we could have dinner on the beach at Bahama Bob's.

Wednesday night we went to the beach to take pics.  This little one was not in the mood and didn't want to sit in the sand.  But we got a few smiles out of her...



Thursday night we all went to dinner at the Shrimp Basket.  We ate on the patio as a storm came through.

It took about 5 days but Bryn finally liked running in and out of the water...

About the only way Brynlee would sit in the sand...notice none of her is touching the sand!
