Occupied

It's mid June and already 100 degrees outside. Soooo, I've been trying to come up with some fun indoor activities to keep Kate occupied. So today, we painted! She was sooo excited.

Painting kept Kate occupied from the time she woke up from her nap til dinnertime! And this sweet girl played house...

Jack Carter with Emma

My parents brought Emma over this morning so Karen could have some time with just Abby and catch up on some sleep. We took the girls to Jack Carter pool. The girls had a blast! Here are pictures from our time at the pool!

It's SUMMERTIME!

8 months

Bryn is 8 months old today! So why not put on pink cowgirl boots and take some pics?

Bryn is doing great! We have finally consistently moved to a 4 hour schedule...7ish, 10:30/11ish, 2:30/3ish, and 7 with a yogurt snack between 5 and 6 pm. She is taking 2 1/2 naps...one around 8:30 or 9 am and then around 12:30 0r 1 pm and a catnap around 4:30 or 5 pm. She is such a content baby. We love this sweet girl!

No More Paci

Here is a little update on Kate since the paci went in the bear.

Saturday night, our first night, was rough. After she finally went to bed, she woke up at 2 AM crying...hard! I laid in there for a little bit and she was fine...just tired, so I left. About 10 minutes later she was out of bed crying again so I ended up laying in there with her the rest of the night. She tossed and turned and could not go to sleep. Everytime I fell asleep she woke me up to scratch her back or her arm. At one point she sat up and sang "Oh Be Careful Little Eyes What You See." I think she finally fell back asleep around 4:30ish. Next thing I knew, Parker was waking us both up at 7 AM.

Thankfully Sunday night and Monday night have been great! No crying at bedtime and no waking up!

Naps have been another story. She can not seem to wind down to take a nap. Yesterday it took over 2 hours for her to fall asleep. And today has been no different. Here are some images from the video monitor. Lots of legs in the air...

Yesterday, she was diving from one side of the bed to the other and looking out the window. Hopefully she will figure this out soon!

Abigail Hope

My sister went into labor during the night and had sweet Abby around 7 AM this morning. She was 6 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. Parker had to teach our Bible Fellowship class, so I loaded up the girls and we went to Fort Worth to meet our newest addition! We got there the same time my parents were bringing Emma up to meet her sister!
