Happy Easter!

We had a pretty low key Easter. We decided to go to the Saturday night service at Prestonwood this year. When the girls woke up, the Easter Bunny had left a few goodies in their baskets!!!

The girls wore their Easter dresses to church last night, but I put them back on for our egg hunt.

Brynlee does not like "hunting" eggs. She only likes eating the candy. She was a little cranky this morning unless there was candy in her hand or mouth...

Bailey wanted some candy too...she snuck one of the girls eggs.

Kate ran all over the yard looking for eggs.

And she has decided she doesn't like jelly beans...so when she found one with Jelly Beans, she would go feed them to Brynlee.

We marked the eggs with a "K" and "B" to make it a little more fair...Brynlee would have been happier if we would have just given her a bowl of M&Ms. But Kate thought it was fun to find the "K" eggs.

Easter Week

We made these Easter chicks a few weeks ago...

And ever since, Kate has been asking me to paint. Since Brynlee dropped her morning nap, our arts and crafts time has been non-existent. So I decided to try painting with both of them.

I just got out some Easter cookie cutters for them to dip in paint...

and then we fingerpainted the eggs and crosses...

which got a little messy, but Brynlee loved it.

When I took her paper away, she threw a little tantrum...

Kate could paint all day!

We have also been doing these Resurrection Eggs with Kate. She LOVES them. She opens them multiple times a day. She also hides them in her room and then finds them:). It is sweet to hear her tell us what each egg means...even though I know she doesn't fully understand.

Easter Parties

Thursday, we had Easter parties at school. Kate was so excited to find eggs in her class!

Prestonwood Easter Egg Hunt

This afternoon we took the girls to the Easter Egg Hunt at Prestonwood. Kate has been talking about eggs since we did it last year! For some reason it stuck with her and she will randomly say/ask, "Remember when we got eggs? Can we do that again later?" So when I told her yesterday that we were hunting eggs this afternoon she said, "that will be so much fun!"

This was Brynlee's 1st official egg hunt! (Kate has been hiding eggs for Brynlee and helping her find them since I pulled the Easter stuff out of the attic). Once she shook it and realized there was something in it, she was happy with her one egg.

But Daddy helped her find some more...

There was no stopping her from the candy in that egg...
