School Pictures 2012

It's school picture time again.  I never have high hopes for school pictures...but I have to say the girls get the most improved award this year. 

 

This is the 1st year Kate has smiled in a school picture...

 

and Brynlee...well, she gave more of a smirk.

In Brynlee's defense, her teachers told me she had a big fall 5 minutes before the pictures were taken...tears were shed, and I am pretty sure you can still see one under her left eye.

The Man Who Ate Locusts

So this was the bible story we read last night...

Brynlee looked at the picture and said (before I started reading)..."he is holding a spider." To which I said, "actually it's a locust...a bug."

After I read the story, Kate said, "we don't eat bugs...that's YUCKY!"
And then Brynlee said, "Yeah, he needs to spit that out!!!"

I realize that the story of John the Baptist speaks to much greater truths, but this night I decided to go ahead and confirm an old lesson...."You are both right....we do NOT eat bugs!"

Amen!

Fall Festival

We went to Prestonwood's Fall Festival tonight.  The girls were excited to wear their princess dresses again...

We started in the big kid bounce houses...a little too big for Bryn.  Kate had to give her a few boosts.  The dresses didn't help any...

Noah's Ark Day

Today was Noah's Ark Day at CLC.  Both the girls were butterflies!

Kate also came home with this craft...our family.  She told me, "Mommy is Pink.  Daddy is red.  I have pigtails, Brynlee is purple, and baby Camryn is pink."  So sweet.  I love that Camryn is already a part of the family to her.  And then she said, "They didn't have Bailey."

Halloween Block Party

Our neighborhood had a Halloween Block Party this afternoon. 

 

Kate went as Rapunzel.

And Brynlee was Cinderella.

They spent most of the afternoon in the bounce house!

It was COLD but the girls had a blast!

Today is Parker's grandmother's 85th birthday!

 

Happy Birthday Mema!!!  The girls made signs just for you today after school!
