Life Lately

I've been a little blog/camera lazy lately.  But here are some pictures of our life lately...from the phone.

I got in a little crafting mood and made some flags for the girls rooms...

Parker and I celebrated 8 years of marriage on April 9!

Can't believe this one is 2.5 years!

As cute as she is...can't take my eye off of her...or her sister!

Still amazes me that she waits patiently in her bed for me to come get her after a nap.  Kate would bang down the door as soon as she woke up so this is new for us!

Twinkies!!!  Camryn and Kate look so much alike.

Taking a walk...

CC sent the girls these cute outfits!

Just a little game of "crack the egg"

Sweet Camryn after church...

Conversations with Kate

Watching Kate turn into a little girl is so fun!  The best part by far are our conversations.  Not much gets by her anymore.  She asks what words we are "S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G."  Code conversations are getting harder and harder.  She listens to phone conversations and picks up on who you are talking to and asks what about.  She brings up things we talked about weeks ago.  And she asks a TON of questions..."what does that word mean?" "why does that animal do that?  She has a recent fascination with lightening bugs thanks to Edison on the Leap Frog movies.  I can't tell you how many times today she asked me, "Why does he have a light on his bottom?"  Lord, help me!!!!

I know I won't be able to remember every conversation, but I want to remember some...like the one we had tonight when I was putting her to bed.

"Every night in my bed it's kind of like a movie.  It's not a movie but like a movie.  And one night I saw hands from heaven.  I think they were God's hands.  They didn't have holes like Jesus' so they must have been God's.  Is that silly Mommy?  Do you do that?"

Which started a long conversation about dreams...and what God looks like.  Sweet Kate!

10 weeks - Camryn

Camryn was 10 weeks yesterday.  I would say we have fully adjusted to our new normal of 3.  There are definitely moments of crazy where all 3 need something at the same time, but for the most part we are in a decent routine.

Camryn has moved into 3-6 months clothes...she has totally chunked up!  She is starting to sleep more consistently.  On a most nights she sleeps about 6 hours...give or take an hour.  The good news is I am only getting up once...for about 30 minutes.

Kate and Bryn thought she needed some lovies...

On another note, baseball season is here and Camryn is ready to cheer on her Rangers!

Phone faves

These are my faves from my phone this week...

Monday...we had great weather and the girls spent most of the day in the yard.  Their new favorite game is "Mommy."

Tuesday I hung out with this sweet one while the big girls were at school.

Wednesday was cold and rainy...and we spent most of the day inside.

Thursday...Everyone wins with this shirt...Daddy gets OU and Kate gets Hello Kitty!
I put a movie on before school so I could finish getting ready.  This is how they watched the whole thing...I could just eat up these sweet moments!

Can't believe how big this one is getting!

Friday...I found them reading like this.  They fight hard and play hard!

Chapel Angel - Brynlee

Brynlee was the Chapel Angel for her class on Tuesday which means...

she got to bring the JOY box home!  I'm not sure who was more excited...Kate or Brynlee.  Kate has been waiting all year for Brynlee to be the Chapel Angel.

As soon as we got home from school, the girls sat on the couch to look through the JOY box.  Brynlee was most excited about Hermie the Caterpillar.

We read this book at least 5 times!  And listened to the CD with chapel songs on it!

She carried Hermie around all afternoon!

Easter Sunday

We had a fun Easter morning hanging out as a family.

The girls "helped" make Cinnabunnies (Bunny shaped Cinnamon rolls).

Easter baskets!

 Kate found hers 1st!

Brynlee went through Camryn's 1st...and was so excited about the Llama Llama board book.

Then it was time for the Egg Hunt.  We underestimated the amount of time before the storm came through...so it was a MAD DASH to find eggs.  See how dark it is???  That is 5 minutes before the downpour.

These are the only pictures we got...
 before it started raining!

As soon as the rain started, Brynlee was inside.  Kate and Daddy stayed outside for a little bit looking for more eggs.  They got pretty wet!  Kate thought it was funny!

Showing off their eggs...

Time to eat...Easter Bunnies or Mickey Mouse?

Camryn's 1st Easter!

Easter PJs!

Such a great day celebrating our Risen Lord!!!

And just so we remember:
The Prestonwood Children's ministry gave the children Palm Branches, set up a Lord's supper table, Garden of Gethsemene, and Empty Tomb for the children to walk through on Palm Sunday.  Kate told us all about it last week after church.  Thursday at school, for her chapel class, I guess they took her in that room and went through the story again.  So last night on the way home from church she says, "We went in that room again.  Did you know I have heard that story 3 times?  I don't want to hear the story of Jesus every time.  When are they going to do another story?"  To which I replied, "Well, they just want to make sure that everyone knows that Jesus died and then rose again."  To which she said, "I already know that story...I have the Resurrection Eggs."
