Paci Bear

We have been talking to Brynlee for a while about getting rid of her pacis.  This week she told us she was ready to put her paci(s) in the bear.  We did this same thing for Kate...we took Kate to Build A Bear and put her pacis in the bear.  But it was one of the worst nights ever.  Kate cried and cried and asked Parker to please take her pacis out of the bear that night before bed.  So we did it a little differently this time.  This time, the pacis were "broken" before her nap.  At naptime, she handed me the paci and said, "It's broken. Here you go."  No big deal.  It's a little easier to put a broken paci in a bear!

But during naptime, instead of sleeping, she did this...

and jumped on the bed, and played in the blinds, and sang every song she knew...but never slept.  But there were NO tears!

After her nap, we went to Build A Bear to officially put the pacis in the bear.  She picked out a pink bear.  Waiting to put the heart in...

She went to bed with no tears.  It took about an hour for her to wind down but she is asleep!!!  So proud of Brynlee!  She's had a lot of changes the past 2 weeks and she is doing great!
