Ice Storm 2013

We were supposed to host our Bible Fellowship class Christmas Party tonight.  So we planned long ago for our kids to go stay with JuJu and PaPa T in Shreveport for the weekend.  The original plan was to take the girls Friday morning.  But they said the weather was going to get bad Thursday night until Friday night so I took them right after school on Thursday.  By the time I got back on Thursday night, it was sleeting. 

Friday morning, this was the view out our front door.  SOLID ICE!

and 3 days later it still looks like this!  It's pretty, but don't be fooled.  It's all ICE and super slick...like can't walk to the mailbox slick.  And our class party is postponed...

It has been nice being stuck at home for 3 days with no kids.  I got a few craft projects done...

and my Mom gave me this ornament on Thursday!  Love it!

Ready for the ICE to go but it sure is pretty at night!
