20 weeks

I am 20 weeks along today...halfway through pregnancy #2! I only took two "posed" pregnancy pictures the first time around...20 weeks and then 40 weeks (on the way to the hospital). So I put on the same clothes to compare...

1st pregnancy...20 weeks

Carseat

Katie kept Kate today while I was at the doctor (more on that later.) She said Kate spent most of the time playing in Quinn's carseat. She loves this frog that sings when you push the eyes. These pics Katie took were too funny not to post...

Just hanging out in the carseat...crazy girl!
Thanks Katie for keeping our sweet girl!!!

Afternoons Lately

This is how we've been spending our afternoons lately...

After Kate wakes up from her nap (and a quick run to Sonic's Happy Hour), we've been doing a lot of playing outside. Here are some pics from today...for some reason I took a ton of pictures.

Kate sitting in the grass...
Best buds...
just relaxing in the shade...
Bailey kisses...
Kate getting some of Mommy's Sonic Ice...
eating Ice... (notice she is making good use of the car's cupholders)
playing a little peek-a-boo...
popsicle break!

All Done...

And just because she doesn't get much attention any more...here is our sweet Bailey girl...

More Car

So here are some pictures of Kate with the finished car...

Getting in...Getting out...Cheesy grin...
Looking out the window...

In other news, Kate had her first chips and SALSA tonight at Tin Star...and it was a huge hit. By the end of dinner she literally was just putting her fork in the salsa (no chips) and eating it straight. I think she might have her daddy's love of Mexican food. I didn't have my camera so there are no pictures, but the stain on her shirt in the picture below is from the salsa.

New Car

I've been wanting some kind of outdoor toy for Kate. We finally decided on this Cozy Coupe. Kate loves it. We didn't even finish putting it fully together (it still needs all the "extras"...stickers, brakelights, headlights, eyes, etc.) because we were so excited for Kate to play with it.

She can make it go forward but right now she mostly just enjoys sitting in it, honking the horn and getting in and out.
Getting a little push from Dad!
All smiles!!!
Kate and her new car....
We'll post more pics of the totally finished car soon!

Purse from the Sudan

Parker brought Kate a purse home from his trip. Of course she loved it. Here are a few pictures of Kate's new purse!

Checking it out...

Trying to figure out how to get the strap across her shoulder...

Playing with her purses...

A Small Taste of the Sudan...

Here are a few pictures from Parker's trip...

Parker and Coby Allen about to get on the 25 passenger plane to fly into Kajo Kaji.

Parker playing a game with some of the Sudan boys.

Parker and some of the natives...(notice the Obama shirt).
A Southern Sudan village...the fields they farm in with their mud huts in the background.

Loving the balloons!!! The lady on the far right in the yellow shirt is the one that accepted Christ.

"Church" under the mango tree. Notice the "pews"....basically sticks/logs. The mango trees provide the most shade so that is where they meet.

A toddler at the orphanage...so sad. Most of the kids are there because their mom died in childbirth and their dads are alcoholics. Because the Sudan is so underdeveloped due to the war, there is no process of adoption.

Parker and one of the orphans...

The bathroom where they stayed...

Parker's bunkhouse...

This little kid (with the white on her face) is Kate's age...

Parker got to talk about the importance of baptism...
