What's Missing?

Do you notice what's missing???

Kate's bedrail!
She asked me to take if off earlier this week. I was a little unsure but she insisted. It's been a week and she has done GREAT!

Kate's First Soccer Game

Kate had her first game Saturday morning. She was excited!

Before the game...ready to play...
5 kids play at a time so that leaves 5 watching from the side. Getting some coaching from dad while watching her team play...
Our little spectator...
In the game...
Halftime...working on her kicks...
Waiting patiently on the sideline...
Cheering on her team! Choo Choo!
Pierce kicking the ball...
This little boy in the front is the team stud...he scored 3 goals, including the WINNING goal!
The longer she played, the more her arms flailed as she was running...
Post game huddle (notice the purple jersey in the huddle...definitely 3 year old soccer:))
Proud Daddy and Kate after the game...
We are so proud of Kate. She did a great job! She ran over to me one time and said, "I'm tired." Other than that, she played hard!
Here are a few videos from the game. After a goal is scored they go back to the middle of the field. Kate has that down...

And one more just for fun!

Kate's Western Day

Today was Western Day (or Rodeo Day) in Kate's class at school.

Both girls ready for school...
My little cowgirl...
Looking and genuinely smiling at the camera are tough these days...

It was almost 80 degrees today so as soon as we got home she took off her shirt and put shorts on, but here is the vest they made at school today...
At school there are 2 Kate's in her class, so she goes by Kate H. When I write her name on something at home she almost always says, "put H. for my Hamilton name." Love her!
The back of her vest...
And the horse she made...
Which promptly had to go up on her craft board.
She told me they ate lunch around a campfire. Sounds like Western Day was a big hit!
Her teachers made this cute sign and sent it home the next week...

Daddy Daughter Date

Parker took Kate on a date tonight. No reason...just a night out with sweet Kate. Parker took a few pics on his phone from their dinner...
Kate insisted they sit on the same side of the booth...(in most cases i disapprove of same side sitting, but in this case it is cute)...
Apparently they had a 3 course meal...appetizers, entree and dessert.
And then Kate serenaded him the whole way home...(the video is a little dark...and sideways!) The song is from Cinderella, her current favorite!

14 Days of Valentines

We did 14 Days of Valentines this year. It was a hit. Every morning there was a surprise in their mailbox. Most nights before bedtime, Kate would say, "I wonder what is going to be in my mailbox tomorrow!" Most days it was just a heart shaped note, verse, or sticker. Day 13 was their actual Valentine from Mommy and Daddy. (We did it on Monday because school days (Tuesday) are a little chaotic getting out the door on time.) On Kate's heart it said "your valentine is in daddy's office chair."
Kate's valentine was a Cinderella Doll...
Bryn's valentine said "look for your valentine in your kitchen."
I wish I had Bryn's response on video...she did a little dance when she found her Elmo doll.
Our sweet valentines...
On Valentine's Day, I made the girls red oatmeal with chocolate chips. Brynlee was in immediately...
Kate on the otherhand was not sure about the red. She asked me to make her oatmeal brown and refused to eat it. She finally, after much convincing and telling her about all the chocolate chips that were in there, ate it.
Bryn's last Valentine...
Kate's last valentine...
Daddy left one last surprise for the girls on the way to school. BALLOONS!
Happy Valentine's Day!
