Easter Sunday

We had a fun Easter morning hanging out as a family.

The girls "helped" make Cinnabunnies (Bunny shaped Cinnamon rolls).

Easter baskets!

 Kate found hers 1st!

Brynlee went through Camryn's 1st...and was so excited about the Llama Llama board book.

Then it was time for the Egg Hunt.  We underestimated the amount of time before the storm came through...so it was a MAD DASH to find eggs.  See how dark it is???  That is 5 minutes before the downpour.

These are the only pictures we got...
 before it started raining!

As soon as the rain started, Brynlee was inside.  Kate and Daddy stayed outside for a little bit looking for more eggs.  They got pretty wet!  Kate thought it was funny!

Showing off their eggs...

Time to eat...Easter Bunnies or Mickey Mouse?

Camryn's 1st Easter!

Easter PJs!

Such a great day celebrating our Risen Lord!!!

And just so we remember:
The Prestonwood Children's ministry gave the children Palm Branches, set up a Lord's supper table, Garden of Gethsemene, and Empty Tomb for the children to walk through on Palm Sunday.  Kate told us all about it last week after church.  Thursday at school, for her chapel class, I guess they took her in that room and went through the story again.  So last night on the way home from church she says, "We went in that room again.  Did you know I have heard that story 3 times?  I don't want to hear the story of Jesus every time.  When are they going to do another story?"  To which I replied, "Well, they just want to make sure that everyone knows that Jesus died and then rose again."  To which she said, "I already know that story...I have the Resurrection Eggs."

Easter Family Pictures

We went to the Saturday night Easter service at Prestonwood again this year.

Good Friday

We had a super busy week...JuJu and PaPa T in town, haircuts, zoo, Easter parties at school, etc. so Friday we just stayed home and did some fun Easter-ish stuff.

We have one child who LOVES a "project" and another one who wants you to do everything for her and then destroy it!  So we attempted an Easter project I adapted from something I'd seen on Pinterest.  They did paint handprints and footprints but we just traced ours on scrapbook paper...

Kate was proud to show off her finished project!

I asked child #2 to show me hers and she said "No, I don't want to" and proceeded to tear it up.  That child is a mess!!!  She will remain pictureless.

Then we did an Easter Egg Hunt for their lunch.  We may have to do this every year.  It was a big hit.  I just hid eggs around the living room and kitchen and they found them.  So easy and fun!

All done and ready to eat!

So thankful for what this day really means..."But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed."  Isaiah 53:5

The Zoo with Emma and Abby

JuJu and PaPa T are in town so we drove over to the Ft. Worth Zoo to meet Karen, Emma, and Abby.

The problem with zoo pictures is they all look like this...everyone's backs!

Kate loved watching the tiger pace back and forth...

Flamingos...

lunch in the Crocodile Café...

Brynlee and Kate both touched a snake...Kinda Creepy!

Learning about the animals...or just pretending to talk on the phone.  At one point I went over to tell Kate something and she told the phone to "hold on."

JuJu and the girls on the turtle...

Taking 5 kids 4 and under to the zoo is fun but exhausting!
