Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

On Tuesday of last week, out of nowhere, Brynlee started rolling from her back to her tummy. She went from laying flat on her back and looking from side to side to figuring out how to roll over to her tummy in a matter of minutes. I had never even seen her lift her feet in the air until last Tuesday. Once she figured that out, the roll immediately followed...every time. I don't mind her rolling to her tummy...but somehow, she has forgotten how to roll from her tummy to her back, so after a while, she gets mad that she is stuck on her tummy.

Feet up...
and she is over...
So proud of herself!
Unfortunately, she started rolling over during naps while we were gone so my sweet mom got to be the one to deal with terrible naps due to rolling to her tummy and getting stuck. Sorry?

Del Mar

Parker and I spent Wednesday through Saturday of this past week in Del Mar, a suburb of San Diego. Parker made "Chairman's Club" at work this year and this was his rewards trip. We had an awesome time. We stayed at a beautiful resort right on the beach. The only things scheduled for the trip were Wednesday night's dinner with the President of Parker's office and Thursday night's Rewards Dinner and Banquet. We spent the rest of the time lounging around, enjoying a few days sans kids. We walked the beach, ate great food, read books, sat by the pool, watched movies, tried to sleep in, and just enjoyed being away. I am so proud of Parker. It was great to get to see more of "his world."

I only took one picture the whole trip...

Friday morning, Parker and Robby woke up at 4:45 AM to play Torrey Pines.
We really did have a blast but after 3 nights away we were both ready to get h0me to see the girls! A huge thanks to JuJu and PaPa T for taking care of Kate and Bryn!

Austin Half

On Sunday I ran my 2nd half marathon. Back in November this sounded like a good idea...in January, training in 22 degree weather with a newborn and 2 year old, it seemed a little crazy.

We ran in Austin. Everyone warned me that it would be "hilly." I think "hilly" was a little bit of an understatement. It was HILLLLL-EEEE! But we did it.
My running buddies...Katie, Ashley, and Sarah at the finish line with the State Capital in the background.
Our medals...

My number #1 fan! Parker was so supportive and sacrificial throughout the whole training. There is no way I could have done this without him!

Quinn's Par-Tee

Our nephew Quinn turned 1! We went down to Houston this weekend to celebrate with him. Katie did a great job planning a Golf themed birthday party.

Anna is Pinkalicious!

Our sweet friend Anna just turned 3! Her birthday party was Pinkalicious! Pinkalicious is a children's book about a little girl who turns pink from eating too many pink cupcakes. It is one of Kate's favorite books right now so she was super excited to go to Anna's Pinkalicious birthday party.

Honey read Pinkalicious to all the kiddos!
Colin and Kate listening...
Sarah and Brody and Kelly and Brady...

Pinkalicious Cupcakes! How cute are these???

And Kate had Cotton Candy for the first time!

No surprise...it was a big hit!

Love Bugs

Happy Valentine's Day from our little Love Bugs!!!

We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Be Mine

Kate wore these "Be Mine" pajamas for her 1st Valentine's day. I pulled them out for Brynlee to wear too.
I still go back and forth on whether or not the girls look alike. Here are both girls in these heart pajamas...Can you tell who is who?

You were right if you said...Kate, Bryn, Kate, Bryn, Kate, Bryn, Bryn

Bryn's Dedication

Sunday morning was Parent/Child dedication at our church. What an awesome reminder of our responsibility as parents to raise our children unto the Lord.

For Brynlee we prayed, and the Lord has granted us our petition that we made to him. (1 Samuel 1:27)
And it is our prayer that Brynlee's love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11)
We praise you for Brynlee is fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:13-16)
We pray that Brynlee will love the Lord with all her heart and with all her soul and with all her might. And that these words will be on her heart. As a family, we will strive to teach them diligently to Brynlee and we will talk of them when we sit in our house, and when we walk by the way, and when we lie down, and when we rise. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)
We pray that Bryn's delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law she will meditate day and night. That she will be like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all she does, she prospers. (Psalms 1:2-3)
And we pray that above all else, Brynlee will guard her heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

We are so thankful for the love and support of both our families!

And it is hard to believe that 2 years ago this same weekend we dedicated sweet Kate to the Lord.
