3 nights away

Parker got tickets from a co-worker to the the Wednesday Practice Round of the Masters. So we decided it was a great way to spend our anniversary... Augusta National might be the most beautiful place we have ever been! These pictures don't do it justice. It was amazing.
Hole #6...they leave this crosswalk open because the players can't see the movement from the tee box. Some people were even sitting on the hill and watching the balls fly over their heads.
There are no cell phones allowed past the entrance. They had several of these scattered around. Takes you back about 15 years...
Amen Corner...
Phil Mickelson and Fred Couples walking the fairway of #13.
Hole #13...
Hole #16...this was my favorite.
After the players tee'd off, the crowd would yell "Skip." The players would then walk up to the front of the tee box and skip the ball across the water onto the green.
You can barely see the ball skipping across the water...
This one skipped 4 or 5 times. This might have been my favorite part of the day.
Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples and Kevin Streelman were the first to tee off. We got there pretty early and watched them practice several holes.
Couples...
Phil...
We were standing right at the crosswalk from 6 to 7 and they walked right by us...

Fred Couples...
Phil Mickelson...
Shreveport's own, David Toms...

We watched Tiger play a hole or two...

Then we ate lunch (pimento cheese sandwiches for $1.50)...
And then we headed to watch the Par 3 tournament...We sat at Holes 8 and 9. They were teeing off behind us on the left and hitting across the pond.
And then hitting back towards us to this green.

Julie and me...
Robbie and Parker...

Thursday, we drove to Atlanta. We ate lunch here...
The Original Chick Fil A!
And tonight we went to dinner to celebrate our 6 year anniversary!
What a great trip!
