New York CIty

We went to New York for a long weekend.  It was an AMAZING trip!

We got in town Thursday afternoon.  After an early dinner our first stop was the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center.  It was everything I thought it would be and more.  It is beautiful!!!

Then we went to Saks!!!!  Their lights to Christmas music were amazing!!!

So were there window displays!

We spent the rest of the evening walking from store to store looking at window displays.  They were all beautiful.  Lord and Taylor was decked out in garland and lights!  These pictures don't do it justice.  You just have to go see for yourself!

We walked from 57th to 34th to see Macy's!

After walking from 57th to 34th and then back to 57th, we ate the most amazing burger (dinner #2) from the burger joint in our hotel!!!

Friday morning we took the subway to the World Financial Center.
The new Freedom tower...

The memorial is incredible.

The entry to the World Trade Center in the background...

Inside the 9/11 memorial...

This was the last beam standing from the original twin towers...

Crushed by debris....

After a gut wrenching 2 hours in the memorial we ate lunch and then went to see the Statue of Liberty!  So thankful for the reminder of our freedom!

New York is truly amazing at Christmas!

We saw Phantom on Friday night...

Saturday morning we went to Carnegie Deli.  It's closing Dec 31 for good.  So sad.

We waited over an hour for this pastrami sandwich!  But it was so worth it!

So was the cheesecake...

Then we spent 2 hours walking Central Park.

Saturday evening we met Hayden and Laura for dinner.  Hayden was in our wedding and Parker was in theirs.  They moved to NYC last year.  We had so much fun hearing about life in NYC!

Then we went to Aladdin...

After the show we walked through Times Square again...
That's the NYE ball way up there!

And we went the see the Tree one more time...

We walked past Trump Tower on the way back to our hotel.  That whole side of the street is shut down.  And these cameras are permanently there.

I LOVE NY but it's so great to come home to these 3!!!

And so thankful to JuJu (and PaPa T) for holding down the fort while we were gone!

Thursday they took lunch to Brynlee....

and Kate...

and Friday they took Camryn to Play Street Museum.
