Field Day - Kate

Today was Field Day for Kate!  It was from 9 - 2 with breaks mixed in.  She's been looking forward to this for a while.

Sunny Saturday.

It has been raining for days. Literally. We got a break in the rain and decided to take advantage. Parker took the big girls to a creek while Camryn was napping. 

Best. Dog. Ever. She saved Kate's croc that was rapidly flowing away. 

Then we tagged along for 18 holes with Parker. The girls always love golfing with daddy.

Butterflies!

The Shops at Willow Bend has a Butterfly Exhibit for the week.  I took the girls after school to check it out.  My bug loving, butterfly chasing girls were in heaven!  We'd only been in there a few minutes and one landed on Kate...

 We each got a Q-tip dipped in Red Gatorade.

 That's 2 butterflies on Camryn's Q-tip.

 By the end, Kate was a pro!

Camryn liked to swing her Q-tip around so her butterflies never stayed too long.  But they did like her shirt...

 and her hair!

The girls had a blast!  Camryn was getting a little restless and a little rough so we left but Kate and Brynlee would have stayed for hours!  So fun!

Mother's Day!

We started Mother's Day in our closet with tornado sirens going off at 7 am. I was getting ready for church and had to drag all 3 girls out of bed.

And yes, Bailey was there too. She has become so scared during storms.

The sirens stopped and we got ready for church...

Parker helped the girls make aprons for all of us!  (Camryn was covered in guacamole after lunch so her dress went straight to the wash.)

Kate is in the "bunny ear" phase!

Kate made this book for me at school. 

"When I shout 'boo' it scares her so much"

"She plays with me a lot and she sit with me a lot too"

"Swim with me and I love it when she plays with me and when she cooks dinner"

Book Character Parade

Hosp had their Book Character Parade this morning. Kate was the pigeon from "The Pigeon Wants A Puppy!"

 

The front said, "Do you know what I want?"  "A PUPPY!"

 The back, "I want a walrus"

 And not to be left out...Brynlee the Cat!
