Kate is 2...tomorrow!

Kate turns 2 tomorrow. But since Sundays are always so crazy we decided to celebrate her today. So we pretended like today was her birthday and had a KATE DAY!

We started the day with chocolate chip pancakes...a family favorite.

Kate blowing out her candles after we sang "Happy Birthday..."

Saying "all done" after she blew them out...
Ready to dig in...

After breakfast I took Kate to play while Daddy prepared his lesson for tomorrow. It was raining outside so we went to Chick-fil-A...

When we got home, Kate got to open presents from Mommy and Daddy...

Kate's Mr. Potato Head...

that you can also make into a "Glamour Spud..."
Kate is really into buckling right now. I found this "Buckley Boo Monkey" so she has been buckling and unbuckling all afternoon...

After Kate's nap we went to Chuck E. Cheese. We were so excited to take Kate for the first time. We had a birthday coupon for 20 free tokens. When we got there it was super crowded. Kate rode a few rides...

But she was mostly just interested in putting tokens in the machine. We would put a token in and before the ride or game even started she would say, "more."
We used all our tokens and then came home and ate dinner and cookie cake. Kate asked to open more presents. We had a great KATE DAY!

  1. What a fun day! We have the "special" plate too - I love that tradition!
