Sunday morning was Parent/Child dedication at our church. What an awesome reminder of our responsibility as parents to raise our children unto the Lord.
For
Brynlee we prayed, and the Lord has granted us our petition that we made to him. (1 Samuel 1:27)
And it is our
prayer that
Brynlee's love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all
discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the
fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (
Philippians 1:9-11)
We praise you for
Brynlee is fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. (Psalm 139:13-16)
We pray that
Brynlee will love the Lord with all her heart and with all her soul and with all her might. And that these words will be on her heart. As a family, we will strive to teach them diligently to
Brynlee and we will talk of them when we sit in our house, and when we walk by the way, and when we lie down, and when we rise. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7)
We pray that Bryn's delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law she will meditate day and night. That she will be like a tree planted by streams of water that
yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf
does not wither. In all she does, she prospers. (Psalms 1:2-3)
And we pray that above all else,
Brynlee will guard her heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23)
We are so thankful for the love and support of both our families!
And it is hard to believe that 2 years ago this same weekend we dedicated sweet Kate to the Lord.
