"Splash"

We went to the pool again today. Our friends Sarah and Ashley live in the same neighborhood and have a community pool with a covered and gated baby pool...perfect for this age. It literally took about 30 minutes for me to get Kate in the water. I don't know if it was too cold or she was just altogether unsure. I finally put one of these rings around her and showed her she could walk around the entire pool. Once she got the hang of it, she loved running around and splashing in the water.

Sweet Colin...

Kate, Harper, Anna, Graham, Ashley and Colin having a snack break...Ashley brought Ritz Crackers for Graham, but once the "big kids" saw them they all wanted some.

Kate started saying a new word today...SPLASH. She loved splashing in the pool.

Splashing is so much fun!

Speaking of new words, Kate is saying new things everyday. It is really funny what she picks up on...and scary too. Our current favorite is Hello or as Kate says...Hew-ooooo. We laugh everytime she says it. She has also started stringing two words together...Bye Bye Daddy is her favorite. When Parker leaves in the morning she says, "Bye Bye Daddy...work." And tonight Parker taught her to say I don't know or as she says, "I don't dough." After we put her to bed tonight I could hear her in her crib saying "I don't dough" over and over and over.
